Sibel was born in 1969 in Ankara. In 1990 she graduated with a degree in the College of Mass Communication from Ankara University.
After graduation, she started her professional carrier as a Director’s Assistant in the Documentary Department of the Turkish Radio and Television Company (TRT). She transitioned to video editing in 1992 and soon after she became a Producer. While at TRT she produced and/or directed a variety of programs until 2018.
Currently she is a freelance director and script writer
